Marguerite Francis Wallet Rogers

Marguerite Francis Wallet Rogers went to be with her Lord and Savior October 31, 2024. Marguerite had been battling cancer but is now at peace with her beloved husband John.

Marguerite was born January 24, 1943, in Natchez, MS. Over the years, her and John lived in Indiana, Georgia, North Carolina and Arizona, making friends wherever they went. After John passed, Marguerite moved back to Indiana to take care of John’s sister and his brother. Her tireless efforts were appreciated by their families. She eventually was able to move back home to Natchez.

In Mississippi, Marguerite was very active and loved dearly by her church, New Covenant Presbyterian Church. Her deep and resounding faith and belief in Jesus Christ lived in her heart and was practiced every day.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, John Rogers; sisters-in-law, Nancy Rogers Dickerson of Anderson, IN, and Mary Rogers Dalzell of Middletown, IN; her brother-in-law, Jim Rogers of Middletown, IN; nephew, Jeremy Rogers.

She is survived by her brother, Stacey Wallet of Natchez; a niece, Sonya FitzSimons of Texas; nephew Stacy Wallet, Jr. of Kansas. On the Rogers side, there are nieces, Carrie Rogers of Indiana, Erin Dickerson Roberts of IN/GA/SC; nephews Mike and Jim Dickerson of Indiana; great nephew, Casey of Indiana, and many other great nieces, great nephews, and cousins, all of which she loved with her whole heart.

A graveside memorial gathering will take place Saturday, April 19, at 2:00 pm at the Mechanicsburg Cemetery, located on 9250 US Highway 36, Middletown, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 130 Homochitto Street, Natchez, MS 39120.
