Middletown...Margaret L. Pittsford, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2018 after a brief illness. she was born on July 10, 1926 in Middletown to John and Rachel Dellinger Alexander and lived most of her life in the Middletown area.
She retired from the Middletown Post Office after 35 years. She was able to spend the winters in Florida and enjoys summers in Indiana. She enjoyed Quilting, Crochet, Knitting, reading, spending time with family and traveling the world with her husband to many countries.
She was a member of the Upper Fall Creek Church of the Brethren and the Order of the Eastern Star #110 where she held many offices throughout the years including secretary and Worthy Maron
Survivors are her husband of 72 years: Eugene Pittsford, 3 children: Gary (Carolyn) Pittsford, Gerald (Barbara) Pittsford and Marsha Graves, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to all the staff at Crown Pointe Assisted Living.
Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastor Dennis Hilton officiating.
Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 PM with Eastern Star services at 8:00 PM.

The Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Margaret with family and friends.
