Margaret Ollene Johnson

Tipton...Margaret Ollene Johnson, 92, former Daleville resident, died Tuesday morning in Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton.She was born in Hamilton County, December 1, 1910 the daughter of Edward J. and Floy Hill Nance.She had been preceded in death by her husband Julian and one son Mark, as well as a brother, Lester Nance.She was a graduate of Jordan Conservatory at Butler University receiving her B.A. in Art and Music. She received her Masters In Fine Arts from Ball State University. She taught school in Daleville for over 35 years. She also taught in Frankton and Walnut Grove Schools.She and her family had operated the Johnson Drug Store in downtown Daleville since 1940.Survivors include three nieces: Janice Lou Lee (Robert) of Tipton, Ann Gordon (Bob) of Arcadia, and Beth Snedegar (Alan) of Lansing, MI, 1 nephew: Alan Nance (Nikki) of August, NC and 1 cousin: Marjorie Schlegel of Daleville.Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville, with Rev.
