Marcus "Lynn" Antrim

(Marcus) Lynn Antrim, 83, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 after a 2-year illness. He was born on July 11, 1940 to the late Marcus E. and Blanche M. Antrim.

Lynn graduated from Daleville High School in 1958 and was an enthusiastic fan of the Daleville Broncos as well as the Chicago Cubs. He was employed by Fisher Guide as a designer Engineer, retiring at the age of 49 to rehab houses in Muncie and Daleville winning the Mary Francis Abel Historic Preservation award in 1991. Lynn and his wife then converted a barn into their family home. He was very active in the Daleville Christian Church, serving many capacities. Lynn and his wife enjoyed traveling and building furniture from architectural salvage.

In addition to his parents Lynn was preceded in death by an infant brother; sister, Ila (Rees) Antrim; and 2 brothers-in law.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Kay (Eshelman); daughters, Stephanie Antrim and Kimberlie (Scott) Forgey; son, Monte Antrim; grandchildren; Iain, Catriona and Conor Forgey, Marcus Mizelle and Sadie Antrim; sisters-in-law, Rita Ashby, and Nita Pickering; former son-in-law, Donnis Mizelle; best friends, Mike and Judith Knight and traveling buddies, Steve and Eleanor Shelby.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Nancy Frazee and to IU Hospice for their services.

Services will be held at Daleville Christian Church on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Gary McManus officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Daleville Christian Church at 14220 West Daleville Road, Daleville, Indiana 47334 or IU Hospice at 950 North Meridian Street, Suite 700, Indianapolis, IN 46204. Envelopes will be available at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville.
