Malinda Jane Glidden

Yorktown...Malinda Jane (Smith) Glidden, 51, Yorktown resident, passed away at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Indianapolis Monday morning.She was born in Muncie, April 6, 1962, the daughter of Jerry A. and Marilyn Myers Smith.She worked as an administrative assistant for the Daleville United Methodist Church where she was a member but also attended Honey Creek United Methodist Church.She had worked for several years at Comprehensive Mental Health.She is survived by her husband of 23 years: Pastor Timothy Glidden, daughter: Amanda (Eric) Lumpkin) of Lafayette, her parents Jerry and Marilyn Smith of Muncie, and a brother: Brad Smith (Kimberly) of Muncie.Celebration services will be held on Saturday at the Daleville United Methodist Church at 10:00 am with Revs. Steve Graves and Glenn Perkins officiating.Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie.Friends may call at the Daleville United Methodist Church on Friday from 5-8 PM.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com or Facebook/Ballard and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.The Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Malinda Glidden with family and friends.
