Muncie....Malcolm ""Mac"" O. Heaton, 86, resident of Morrison Woods Healthcare, passed away Monday morning at the facility.He was born in Delaware County, August 11, 1926, the son of Charles and Coral Sweigart Heaton.He was a 1944 graduate of Daleville High School and Veteran of WW2 serving in the US Navy.He retired from Borg Warner in 1989 after 42 years of service.He was a member of the Church of Christ in Yorktown and attended the Church of Christ for many years in Middletown.He was a former member of the American Legion of New Castle and loved gardening, yard work, and refinishing furniture.Survivors are his wife of 56 years: Betty Lee (Gwinn) Heaton of Muncie, 1 daughter: Jane Heaton Williams (John) of Carmichael, CA, 2 nephews: Ron Padgett (Alma) of New Castle and Doug (Lois) Padgett of Palm City, FL, several great nephews and great nieces.He was proceded in death by his parents, sister: Evelyn Padgett Brother in law: Robert Padgett and a nephew: Jake PadgettFuneral services will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Strret, Daleville with Brother Larry Reynolds officiating.Burial will be in Tomlinson Cemetery near Yorktown.Friends may call on Friday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home and one hour before the services on Saturday.Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Association or any Humane Society.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comThe Ballard family is honored to serve the Heaton's in family ministry.
