Mabel Sherman Brattain

Middletown....Mabel Sherman Brattain, 95, resident of Middletown, passed away at Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center early Wednesday morning.She was born in Greenfield, Indiana, April 28, 1918, the daughter of Hobart and Gladys Hite Sherman.She retired from General Motors in Anderson in 1975 and was a member of the Sixth Street Christian Church.She had a wonderful sense of Humor and enjoyed being with her friends and family.She was preceded in death by her husband: John Brattain in 1976, sister: Annabelle and 2 brothers: Bob and Melvin.She is survived by her loving children: Bruce Brattain of Indianapolis, Vicki (Mitchell) Joffe of Portage, MI and Roxanne (Danny) Painter of Middletown, 7 beautiful grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday at Miller Cemetery, east of Middletown.Memorials contributions may be made to the Middletown EMS or the Sixth Street Christian Church.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comThe Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Mabel Brattain with family and friends.
