Middletown...Lucille Haynes Gavin, 86, resident of Middletown, passed away November 14, 2006 at her residence after an extended illness.She was born in Middletown, March 19, 1920, the daughter of Virgil and Mary Haynes.She retired from Delco Remy in 1962 and had also worked at Guide Lamp.She was a member of the Local UAW 662 and was owner with her husband Harry of Gavin Hardware in Middletown from 1961-1976.She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star #110 of Middletown.She was a 1938 graduate of Middleown High School.Survivors include 1 son: Tony (Linda) Gavin of Middletown, 2 daughters: Delores Teter of Anderson and Diane (Larry) Dellinger of Middletown, grandchildren: Jennifer (Derek) Brickler of Indianapolis, Jami (Steve) Sumner of Anderson, Scott (Luann) Teter of Anderson, Barry Teter of Anderson, Mike (Veronica) Dellinger of Middletown, and Jay (special friend; Sonni Stevens) Dellinger of Middletown, 10 great grandchildren, brothers: Norm Haynes of Middletown, Jim (Connie) Haynes of Middletown, Ralph (Lila) Haynes of Marion and Don Haynes of Marion, sisters: Janet (Bill) Crabill of Middletown, Betty Troy of Middletown and Judy Cunningham of Anderson, several nieces and nephews and cousins and special friends: Ray and Lorriene Webster of Ft. Myers, FL.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry in 1987, brothers: James Robert, Tommy, Larry, Terry, David, and Fred who was killed in Iwo Jima in WW 2 and buried at sea.Public Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am at Miller Cemetery on Friday with Rev.
