Daleville...Louise R. (Rowe) Garrett, 87, resident of Daleville, passed away early Saturday morning at Community Hospital in Anderson.She was born in Columbia, KY, May 26, 1922, the daughter of Lennis and Essie Janes Rowe.She retired from Delco Remy in Anderson in 1976 after 30 years of service.She was a member of the Daleville Lioness' Club, Daleville Christmas Committee, UAW 662, Daleville United Methodist Church, Daleville Festival Committee, and worked election day polls for over thirty years.She was awarded Citizen of the Year in 2008 and was known for being the Queen of tickets sales in the town.She loved Daleville and working in her garden.She had been active in several bowling leagues.Survivors are two daughters: Carol (Michael) Murphy of Daleville and Gerri Garrett of Ft. Wayne, 2 grandchildren: Jill (John) Vaught of West LaFayette and Kimberlee (Jay) House of Daleville, 4 great grandchildren: Jason and Jordan Vaught of West LaFayette and Chelsey and Mackenzie House of Daleville, 2 brothers: R.D. Rowe (Ruth) of Daleville and Coy Rowe (Linda) of Ocala, FL, 3 sisters: Ceophus Burris of Dallas, TX, Loeta Heath (Russ) of Campellsville, KY, and Joanna Anderson of Hurst, TX, several nieces and nephews, 1 sister-in-law: Ilene Rowe of Daleville.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years: Walter Lee in 2004. 2 brothers and 1 sister.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Daleville United Methodist Church with Pastor Judy Fuller officiating.Burial will follow at Saunders Cemetery, east of Daleville.Friends may call at the church on Monday from 4-8 PM.Memorials may be made to the Daleville United Methodist Church or the Daleville Lions Club.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comArrangements have been made through Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, Daleville Chapel.
