Louis Wilford Fridley,94, of Middletown, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025. He was born June 12, 1930, in Middletown, IN, a son of the late Lloyd and Janie Fridley.
Louis was a 1950 graduate Middletown High School. After high school he went to work at Chrysler Motors where he worked for thirty-five years. Louis enjoyed walking, as a kid he would walk everywhere. He walked all over Middletown and even to some neighboring communities. He was known for walking ten miles a day. Louis loved music, he listened to old hymns and his favorite artist was Eddie Arnold. Louis loved baseball, he was a huge Cubs fan. Anytime the Cubs were playing he was sure to be watching.
Louis is survived his daughter, Marcella Davis; brother, Joe Fridley (Ella May); grandchildren, Johnny Bench, Jeremy Davis, Jetlan Davis; ten great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Louis is preceded by his parents; wife, Wannena Joann Clark; brothers, Verle Fridley, Robert Fridley, Claude Fridley, Alvin Fridley, Max Fridley, and Stephen Fridley; sisters, Ruth Fridley and Virginia Sample; Son-in-law, John Davis, and grandchildren Crystal, Joey and Jerry Davis.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Middletown, IN. Visitation will be from 11:00a.m. ~ 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at the funeral home. You may express condolences or share memories of Louis at www.ballardandsons.com.
