Lois L. Rutherford

Middletown...Lois L. Rutherford, 95, Middletown, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor in Middletown.She was born April 10, 1915 in rural Sulphur Springs and resided in Middletown.Lois worked at General Motors for 5 years and helped her husband (Robert) with the family business: National Gasoline Corporation.Bob and Lois were very active in the Lions Club and went on many trips and visitations. She was a member of the Home Ec Club and attended Middletown Community Church.She loved to read and spend time with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren called her ""Mamaw."" She has been loved by many and will be greatly missed.She is survived by her daughter: Bonnie (Jim) Garrett of Middletown, grandchildren: Julie (Wayne) Stubblefield of Edinburg, Beth Cox of Pendleton and Andrew (Brandi) Garrett of Middletown, great grandchildren: Shelby and Skyler Stubblefield, Bailey and Syndney Cox and Rachel Harless, brother: Mendel Bowers and Nephews: Steve (Sharon) Bowers, Danny and Larry Bowers, DeWayne (Kathy) Rutherford, Darrell R. Rutherford, Lewis (Linda) Rutherford, nieces: Jeanne (Jim) Flanders and Penny (Chris) Sitler, and many cousins.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, with Rev. Jeff Landon officiating.Burial will follow in Mt.
