Anderson...Lisa R. (Miller) Ellis, 39, a resident of Anderson, passed away August 13, 2011, peacefully at home surrounded by her family, just the way she wanted. Lisa fought a hard, disappointing 14 month battle against inflammatory breast cancer. She was born November 8, 1971, in Marion, Indiana to Cynthia (Camp) and Larry Miller. Survivors include her husband, Robert Ellis, who she married on July 24, 1993. Children Mackenzie, Ashlyn, Kamryn and Lucas Ellis also survive. Also surviving are her mother and step-father, Cindy and Jerry Reynolds of Middletown, father and step-mother Larry and Jina Miller of Auburn. Sisters, Kim (Greg) Bartrom of Middletown and Laura (Jon) Brewer of St. Petersburg, Fla. Brothers, Adam Miller, (Rob Weese) of St. Petersburg, and Thomas Puckett, of Auburn. Uncle, Ron Camp (Marcia Ventura) of Ontario, CA. Lisa was a favorite aunt of her neices and nephews, Taylor and Marley Bartrom and Skylar, Garreck and Jonah Ellis. She is also survived by her In-laws, Glenn and Jean Ellis of Chesterfield and brother-in-law Jason (Adonica) Ellis. Lisa was preceeded in death by her grandparents Mark and Elaine Camp and Ralph and Doris Miller as well as her aunt Vicki Minnick. Lisa was a graduate of Highland High School. She earned her Medical Assoistant license from Ivy Tech. She has worked as a medical assistant for man years, and most recently worked in the Medical Records Department for Community Hospital in Anderson. Lisa enjoyed spending time with her familyand friends, especially her children. She enjoyed going on their field trips, her oldest daughters dance and marching band competitions, and just watching them grow up. She liked butterflies, flowers, and being outdoors in the sunshine. Lisa was able to enjoy a trip to Key West with her sister, Kim, and also a recent memorable family vacation to New Smyrna Beach. Lisa was a verfy special person and will be missed by all who were luck enough to know her. She was a member of the Greater Light Church of Anderson. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 S 5th St. in Middletown. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, east of Middletown. Memorials can be to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in care of Ellis Family Scholarship Fund.
