Lisa L. Brumley, a hero to her family that was an inspiration, very brave and strong and the "The Come Back Kid" passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the age of 46 years old at IU Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 4, 1976 in Muncie, a daughter of Walt Brumley Jr. and Vicki (Daymond) Kitchen.
Lisa was a simple person, just like her dad. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to Dale Hollow Lake, crocheting, an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and loved her Danny Burgers. Lisa attended Highland High School and graduated from Ivy Tech with an associates degree in Phlebotomy.
Lisa is survived by her daughter, Taylor Brumley of Anderson; mother, Vicki (Brunie) Kitchen of Daleville and their canine family, Gypsy and Ruger; her Sissy, with whom Lisa had a very special bond, Laura (Dan) Fetty of Anderson; very special nephew, Trevor Fetty and their canine family, Jack and Butterscotch; grandchildren, Zachary, Jaxson and Skylar; very special aunt who loved each other bunches, Nancy Norton; dearly loved aunt, Diane Vest; special friends, Tina Gift, Kelly Raines and Steve Townsend; many more special aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Walt Brumley Jr.; paternal grandparents, Walter and Thelma Brumley Sr; maternal grandparents, Wiley and Isabel Daymond; special uncle, Donnie Norton; grandparents; Jack and Edna Kitchen; special friend, Mareesa McWilliams; and Lisa's beloved dog, Mariah.
Services will be held at 7:00pm Monday, June 6, 2022 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville with Pastor Ned Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00pm until time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to help with final wish expenses; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
