Lee Ann Zody

Middletown...Lee Ann (Townsend) Zody, 45, went into surgery with a princess wave in the air and joy in her heart on Friday and woke up on Saturday in paradise in the arms of Jesus.Lee Ann was born in Hammond, Indiana on October 11, 1971, to the loving parents of Lloyd and Sarah Morris Townsend. She was a 1990 graduate of Monroe Central and received her BA in Tourism from Ball State University in 1994. Everyone that was blessed to know Lee Ann during her short 45 years here on earth adored her. Her quick wit, snarky and fun-loving sense of humor brought great joy to all- even on the golf course. She was a master of servant leadership showing random acts of kindness to friends and family and especially strangers. One of her many God-given gifts was her creativity. She was a cake decorator extraordinaire, created amazing parties, costumes and tea parties for the girls, and handmade gifts including custom designed Artic Cups (Raise them high and toast to a life well-lived). Lee Ann loved being part of the Sulphur Springs Christian Church family, participating in Praise Band and leading BSF (Bible Study Fellowship). Lee Ann's main mission in life was to make sure God was glorified in everything - and that she did.. Lee Ann was married 23 years to the Love of her life, Rob. She has two amazing girls, Hannah 13 and Ashley 11, who are full of grace and live their faith out loud just like their momma. Survivors also include Miles Townsend (Shannon) of Fayetteville, North Carolina and a sister Nancy Printz (James) of Fishers, Indiana. She was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Lee Ann is now perfectly healed. Come celebrate with us at Sulphur Springs Christian Church from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Celebration of Life Ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. All will occur on Thursday.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sulphur Springs Christian Church.
