Middletown...LaVerna (Tuxhorn) Hawkins, 94, resident of Middletown, passed away at the home of her son on June 15, 2016, after an extended illness.She was born in Indianapolis, May 4, 1922, the daughter of Oscar and Alma Wier Tuxhorn.She was self employed for many years as a manager of a Laundromat.She was a graduate of Warren Central High School.Survivors are a son: Bradley (Marilyn) of Middletown, 3 grandchildren: David Moore of Pendleton, Melissa Southgate and Christine Moore both of Middletown, 4 great grandchildren: Michael and Bryce Southgate and Milo and Mariah Moore.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Hearl and 1 brother: Kenneth.Graveside Celebration services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 at Orchard Hill Cemetery in Wannamaker, IN.There will be no public visitation.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comThe Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of LaVerna with family and friends.
