Middletown...Larry W. Masters, Jr (Griz), 50, passed away at home of complications from cancer. He was born in Ottumwa, IA on 11/07/1965 the son of Larry and Carol Frahm Masters.Griz enjoyed people and never knew a stranger. In his free time he loved hunting, mushroom hunting, skeet shooting and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed going to gun shows in Ohio and loved baseball, especially when his kids were playing.He worked for Michael Lowrey and Lowrey Construction for many years.Besides his mother, he is survived by his long time companion: Marian Hilligoss, his children: Jacob (Amanda) Masters of Summitville, Meagan Masters of Florida, Jerrica (Ron) Dodge of Anderson, Joseph Masters and Zachary Masters of Middletown, his siblings: Cindy (Dan) Glass of Matthews, Dan (Penny) Masters of Middletown, Elaine Masters of Middletown, and Patty (Terry) Adams of Edmunton, KY, grandchildren: Corbin, Aiden, Addison and Kyle.Also several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as aunts and uncles.He was preceded in death by his father: Larry Masters, his maternal grandparents: Hans and Agnes Frahm of Iowa, his paternal grandparents: RD and Ethel Masters of Wilkinson and several aunts and uncles and an infant nieces.Per Griz's request, there will be no funeral and he will be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date.The family would like to thank the St Vincent's Hospice for the wonderful care Griz received.Memorials may be made to the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home to assist with expenses.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comThe Ballard family is honored to care for Griz and his family during this difficult time.
