Middletown....Kevin Thomas, 21, passed away March 12, 2014 at St Vincents Regional Hospital Anderson.He was born December 22, 1992 in Anderson, the son of Kenneth William Thomas and Susie Q. Green Coats.He was a 2011 graduate of Shenandoah High School and worked for Riley and Sons in Anderson.He had lived in this area his entire life and attended American Public University.He loved to cook and was noted for his giant cookies that he constantly molded the recipe. He was a great cook/baker and enjoyed health food and body building.Survivors are his mother and step father: Susie Q. Coats (Lester) of Middletown, father: Kenneth Thomas of Anderson, 1 brother: Kenneth Thomas (Kate) serving in the US Air Force in London England, 2 sisters: Ashley Pierce and Amanda (Daniel) Chismar of Middletown, 1 step brother: Zachary Coats and 1 step sister: Kennedy Coats of Middletown, Maternal grandmother: Marilyn Green of Middletown and Paternal grandfather: Merril Joe Thomas of Chesterfield, several nieces, nephews and 1 uncle.A Celebration service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Middletown Church of the Nazarene, 698 North 5th, Middletown with Dr. Phil Rogers officiating.The family has requested to dress casual.Burial will follow in MIller Cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call at the Church on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.Memorials may be made to the Madison County Animal Shelter.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com or Facebook/Ballard & Sons; Life Celebrations, Counseling, Funerals and CremationThe Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Kevin Thomas with family and friends.
