Kevin Arthur Kemple

Anderson...Kevin Arthur Kemple, 52, of Anderson, died peacefully in his home September 12, 2015, surrounded by his loved ones, after battling complex neurological conditions for the past 9 months. He was a 1981 graduate of Highland High School and a 1983 graduate of Lincoln Tech, specializing in heavy equipment and diesel programs. His passion for automotives led him to a career as an over-the-road driver. He was owner and operator for several years before becoming a company driver. He spent the last 6 years of his career as a driver for Averitt Express.He enjoyed camping, fishing, and canoeing. He also liked working on cars (race cars) with his sons, teaching them the tricks he learned over the years and Sunday afternoons watching football. Above all else, Kevin loved spending his time with his family and his ""critters"".He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 22 years: Angie (Harney) Kemple, sons: Geoffrey Sargent (Sydney Cole) and Christopher Sargent, granddaughter and ""best buddy""; Makenzie Sargent, father-in-law: Doug Harney, several cousins, special friends: Mike and Pam Moon, Chris and Charity Schussler and Michelle Caldwell and Lucas Randle, Jr.He was preceded in death by his father: Arthur Verle Kemple and mother: Marceille (Humfleet) Kemple.The family would also like to thank Dr. Cynthia McGarvey and Dr. Craig Herman and staff of JWM Neurology for their outstanding care and compassion, Dr. Robert Bermel of the Cleveland Clinic for his care and compassion and hearing Kevin's request to spend his last days at home, and the staff of H60B unit at the Cleveland Clinic for the compassion and support during stays there.Special thanks to SVAR Hospice for their quick assistance, compassion and love in the family's time of need.A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00PM Tuesday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville with Pastor Marty Ballard and John Pflum officiating.Burial will follow on Wednesday at 10:00 am at Bronnenburg Cemetery in Chesterfield.Friend may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until the time of the services.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or the American Cancer Society.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandosns.comThe Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Kevin with family and friends.
