Shirley....Kenneth Duane Wisehart, 63, began his new life surrounded by family at his home Tuesday evening.He was born in New Castle, October 24, 1950, the son of Donald K. and Elizabeth Lines ""Betty"" Wisehart.He was a graduate of Shenandoah High School and Purdue University. He had been self employed in farming for over fifty years. Farming was his life.He loved any kind of car racing and cruise vacations.He was a member of the Cadiz Lions Club, Harrison Township Board of Directors, was a Soil and Water Conservation Supervisor, member of FSA County Committee, a ten year 4-H member and loved playing in the old timers basketball tournaments for the Cadiz Alumni. Besides farming, he drove jet fuel tankers for Jet/Star Corporation for ten years.He met his wife on a blind date at Purdue and have been married for 38 years.Survivors are his wife: Patricia (Manlief) of Shirley, mother; Betty Wisehart of Shirley, 2 daughters: Tricia Kelich (Keith) of Elwood and Wendy Butterfield (Bart) of Shirley and one son: Kevin Wisehart of Shirley, 3 grandchildren: Matthew and Edward Kelich and Nevaeh Butterfield, 3 sisters: Marilyn Phelps (Bob Bell) of New Castle, Janice Margison (Richard) of New Castle, and Carolyn Manifold (Michael) of Indianapolis, several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father:: Donald.Celebration services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, with Rev. Maynard Powell officiating.Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 until the time of the services.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and Heartland Hospice, 931 E 86th, Indianapolis, IN 46240.Special gratitude to Drs. Ash and Eddy and the St. Vincent Cancer Center. Also to all the nurses and staff of the infusion lab, the Radiation Team and the 6 South nurses of St. Vincent Regional Hospital of Anderson.
