Daleville...Kenneth Leon Haskell, 66, resident of Daleville, won his battle with cancer Saturday and now resides with his Lord in Heaven.He was born in Anderson, March 5, 1949, the son of Arza Haskell and Betty Adkins-Sportsman.He attended Pendleton Heights High School and was an avid Daleville Athletic supporter. He drove a school bus for Daleville for many years and was a member of the UAW.He retired from Chrysler Corporation in New Castle after 31 years and coached youth football, softball and baseball in the Shenandoah area. He loved Shenandoah Softball and was a member of the Glad Tidings Church in Muncie. Survivors are his wife: Debby of Daleville, children: Shelly Kimmerling (Mark Ballinger)of Middletown, Marcy Gaines (Andre') of Connersville and Kyle Leon Haskell of Anderson, stepchildren: Jamie Scamihorn and Joshua Scamihorn, 1 brother: Willis Kent(Cathy) Haskell, Sr. of Yorktown, grand children: Lizy (Nick) Schmidt, Aimee (Chance) Reagan, Felicia Nicholson, Emelia Nicholson, Cody Riggs, Andrew Haskell, Kylee Haskell, Kaety (Gwen) Keckhafer, Jonathon Scamihorn and Andrew Scamihorn, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew; Willis Kent Haskell, Jr., step daughter: Andrea Scamihorn and a step father: Verne Sportsman.A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday at Glad Tiding Church at 1:00 PM in Muncie with Pastors Kevin and Kyle Holt officiating.Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie.Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 at Ballard and Sons, 118 South 5th, Middletown.Memorials may be made to the Delaware Special Olympics or the Daleville Athletic Boosters.Online Guestbook is available at:
