Middletown....Kenneth Franklin Conn, Sr., 84, resident of Middletown died February 17, 2018 at Miller's Merry Manor in Middletown.He was born in Middletown, April 26, 1933, the son of Ted and Lenna Mae Hodson Conn.He was a toolmaker at Delco Remy for over 46 years and retired in July of 1997. He was a graduate of Middletown High School, Class of 1951 as well as the General Motors Apprentice School.He was a US Air Force Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 216 of Middletown, UAW Local 662 of Anderson, VFW #266 of Anderson, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, and was a 50 year member of the Middletown Masonic Lodge #271. He attended the Middletown United Methodist Church and served in the Air Force Reserve at Grissom Air Force Base. He received several awards and medals of service. He served during the Korean Conflict.Survivors include his wife of 66 years: Mary Ann Williams Conn, son: Butch (Rise') Conn of Shirley, IN, daughter: Dawn (Marcus) Turner of Muncie, granddaughter: Lacy (Branson) Shirk of Yorktown, granddaughter: Ashley (Zach) Grounds of Pendleton, great granddaughter: Ridley Anabelle Shirk, great grandson: Treywick Ashton Shirk and Boone Robert Grownd, a brother: Bille (Jeanne) Conn of Florida.He was preceded by his parents: Ted and Lenna Mae Conn and a brother Bob.Services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.
