Kay E. Seybert

Kay E. Seybert, 77, resident of Concord, California, passed away September 16, 2021. She was born August 3, 1944 in Middletown, Indiana to the late Kenneth and Mildred (Kirtley) Seybert.
Kay graduated from Middletown High School in 1962, and Indiana University in 1966. She furthered her education by earning her Masters Degree. She worked at Seybert's grocery in Middletown, Indiana in her youth.
She moved to California and worked for the Department of Social Security, until her retirement.
Kay was an advocate for the things she believed in. She loved her pets and had several cats and dogs over the years. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed staying in touch with friends and family.
She is survived by her brother, Bob J. Seybert of Noblesville, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Keith Seybert, Chino Hills, CA, sister, Donna J. McElfresh, Connersville, IN, nephew Jeffrey McElfresh, and nephew David Seybert, Anderson, IN.
A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Ballards and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown. Friends may call from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will be at Millers Cemetery in Middletown. Memorial contributions can be made to any Humane Society. You may express condolences or share a memory of Kay at www.ballardandsons.com .
