Daleville...Kay (Robertson) Peters-Gipson, 69, resident of Daleville, lost her battle with Leukemia, February 12, 2009 at her residence.She was born in Indianapolis, the daughter of Harold and Gertrude ""Lois"" Kramer Robertson.She was a 1957 graduate of New Palestine High School and a member of the Daleville Christian Church.She has served as Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Daleville for 14 years.She was active in the Boys Scouts proudly having three sons attain the Eagle Scout award, worked 10 years in Cub Scouts and 3 years as a Girl Scout Leader.She coached Little league Softball in Daleville and Ft. Lauderdale, FL for 27 years.She was one of the first T-Ball coaches in Daleville and helped start girl's softball leagues in Ft. Lauderdale.She was a member of Phi Kappa Delta and served on the committee that created Bi-Centennial Park, now known as David Shellabarger Park. She was active on the Daleville Festival Committee, Town Christmas Committee, and organized the military honors for 9-11 in Daleville.She was a firm believer in ""Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."" She always loved to help people through giving a loaf of bread or a shoulder to cry on.She was preceded in death by her father: Harold Robertson and her first husband: Robert Peters.Survivors include her husband: John Gipson of Daleville, mother: Lois Massing, 7 children, 6 brothers and sisters, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchidren,Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at Daleville Christian Church, Daleville, IN with Rev.
