Middletown....Katherine Dennis Sears, 97, former Middletown resident, passed away at Manor Care in Anderson.She was born in Anderson, January 8, 1918, the daughter of Joe and Emma Stewart Dennis.She attended Anderson High School and retired from RCA in 1983.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: LaMar, 2 sisters, 1 grandchild, and 2 great grandchildren.Survivors are her children: Dennis (Karen) Gooding of Anderson, Bonita (Dean) Hanson of Middletown, Judith Martt of Middletown, and Mary T. Sears of Anderson, grandchildren: David and Denise Hanson, Debbie Vanasdal, Donna Martt, Chad Malloy, Joe Gooding, Jimmy, Bonita and Margaret Martt, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Ballard & Sons, 118 South 5th, Middletown, with Pastor Glenn Davis and Marty Ballard officiating.Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Middletown.Friends may call on Wednesday from 10 until the time of the services.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comThe Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Katherine with family and friends.
