Karla Kern, 53, of Noblesville passed away Sunday August 14, 2022, at St. Vincent 86th Street in Indianapolis. She was born May 17, 1969, in Muncie to Carl and Elizabeth (Abshire) Kern.
She was a 1988 graduate of Shenandoah High School then went on to get her Bachelor's Degree from Indiana State University and received her Nursing Degree from Indiana University.
Karla was a determined and intelligent woman that enjoyed history especially the Civil War, traveling and arts. She loved spending time with her family and friends but most of all with her nieces.
She is survived by her father, Carl (Patty) Kern; brothers, Chris (Holly) Kern and Jeff (Beth) Kern; nieces, Isabella and Mia Kern; nephews, Isaiah and Jonah Kern; sister-in-law, Michelle Kern; best friend, Melissa Devries and her cats, Forest and Mosby.
Karla was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Kern.
A memorial service to celebrate Karla's life will be held on Wednesday August 24th at 6:30 pm at Westview Church of the Nazarene 12 s. Homestead Dr. New Castle, IN 47362.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in Karla's honor.
