Karl Eldon Landers, 72, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2017 at his home surrounded by his wife and family. He was born in Pennville, Indiana on July 5, 1945 and was the son of John and Eunice (Denney) Landers. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Prime Battery in 2011. He previously attended Grace Baptist Church of Anderson.He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dianna Sue (O'Bryant); two sons, Jerry (Rachel) Landers of Anderson, and John (Doris) Landers of Charlestown; a daughter, Melinda (Thomas) Jump of Anderson; two sisters, Margaret (George) Wentz-Gray of Pennville, and Nilah (Waldo) Hudson of Salamonie. He leaves behind five granddaughters, six grandsons, and one great-grandson, as well as many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Junior and Earl Landers; and four sisters, Thelma Norris, Helen Rigby, Joyce Knapp and Barbara Markle.Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church with the Pastor Daniel Stevens officiating. Friends and family may gather at the church beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday to celebrate his life. The family would like to thank St. Vincent Hospice for the in-home care provided.
