Karen Jane Posey

December 14, 1948 — December 13, 2021

Karen Jane Schell Posey

On this day her family-Rebecca Schell Troke (sister), Steven Schell (brother), Shannon Posey (son), Erin Posey-Adkins (daughter) and Grayson Posey (grandson) have the heavy task to tell you that our beloved Jane has left this earth.

How do we say in a few lines what this loss means?  Jane was a rock of this family, faithful, loving, caring, generous to a fault and always there.  There is a hole in this world now where she once resided, never to be filled again.  Our hearts are broken, our lives upended.  Those who knew her I know feel the same.  Jane was a beautiful soul, a delight to be around, opinionated, but always, always putting you first above her.  Jane loved this world and the wonders it held.  She loved ancient history, art, animals, cooking but most of all she loved all of us.  She showed us that every day.  If I could have my way, I would make this earth stop for a few seconds to pay tribute to her, because she is so deserving.  She changed this world by having her in it, she left her mark forever.  Her name is now clearly written into God's Book of Life.  She may not be here physically any longer but her memory will never fade.  Please read the following in remembrance of our beautiful sister, mother and grandmother.

I'd like the memory of me, to be a happy one.  I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright sunny days.

I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun.  Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
