Muncie...Karen Diane (Powell) Douthitt Adams, 65, resident of Muncie, passed away Wednesday morning at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.She was born in Muncie, November 23, 1941, the daughter of Orlen and Mildred Conquest Powell.She had worked in the Delaware County Clerks office for over 10 years.She attended Muncie Central High School and was a member of the Camping 7 social group and attended Union Chapel United Methodist Church.Survivors include 4 daughters: Beth Barnes (Ken) of Delphi, Tayla Greiner (Jack) of Muncie, Wendy Spears (Glen) of Marion and Megan Melman of Muncie, 1 son: Deric Douthitt (Lisa) of Muncie, 1 brother: Butch Powell (Terry) of Muncie, 2 sisters: Kandi Miller (Rex) of Losantville and Kathie Lewis (Larry) of Losantville, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, adopted sons: Jeff Ellison, Mike Cummings, and Danny Melman of Muncie and special friend: Alan Garringer of Selma.Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 am at Union Chapel 180 Ministries Auditorium in Muncie with Pastor Glenn Griner officiating.Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie.Friends may call at the Union Chapel Fellowship Hall on Friday from 4-8 PM.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Alzheimer Association.Arrangements have been entrust to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, Middletown.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
