Middletown...Julia Ann (Hall) Romine 80, passed away quietly to be with the Lord Friday morning, September 3, 2004 at St. John's Medical Center in Anderson.Julia was born on May 18, 1924 in Middletown and resided there most of her life. She was the daughter of Arthur and Blanche (Fletcher) Hall. She married Malcolm E. Romine in 1940. He passed away in 1970.She attended Middletown High School and the Eastside House of Prayer in Anderson. She owned and operated ""Romine Aquarium Store"" in Middletown, then worked for several aquarium stores in Anderson before leaving Indiana to Lawton, OK to set up an aquarium department for K-Mart. She also worked at the Middletown Nursing Home and Middletown Schools.Survivors include 3 sons: Larry (Mary) Romine of Middletown, Mike (Diane) Romine of Florida, and Terry (Anita) Romine of Illinois, 2 daughters: Joy Romine of Middletown and Candace S. Carpenter (Fiance""; Jerry Hines) of Anderson, 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Also, 1 brother: Roy E. (Betty) Hall of Muncie, 1 sister: Lora P. Gift of Middletown and 2 sister-in-laws: Phyllis Hall of Muncie and Cecil Hall of Middletown.She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 2 brothers: Otto D. Hall, Arthur J. Hall, and a sister: Dora L. Mattox, a granddaughter: Brenda K. Romine and great granddaughter: Megan H. Tyler.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastor David Whitteberry and Pastor Kevin Tharp officiating.Burial will follow in Miller cemetery, Middletown.Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-9 on Monday and one hour before the services on Tuesday.Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastside House of Prayer in Anderson.Online Guestbook is available at:
