Joyce Ann Ambs

Springfield, OH...Joyce Ann (Chapman) Ambs, 75 of Springfield, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 in her loving home. She was born the daughter of Rufus Lowell and Thelma (Brown) Chapman, whom both preceded her in death, on February 27, 1936 in Sulphur Springs, Indiana. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years: Phillip Ambs, her children: Liz and Pete Priddy of Middletown, IN, Susan and Doug See of Springfield, OH, John and Amy Ambs of Urbana, Jenny and Rob Vogt of Fairborn, and Kate and Jamie Wagner of Springfield, her grandchiuldren: Jordan and Kelly See, Nichole Armstrong, Emily and Ethan Ambs, Kiley and thad Bowman, Olyvia Ray, Jessica and Rachael Sanders, Ben Abbitt and Grace Wagner, her sisters: Nancy Cook and Sue and Bob Melton, her brothers: Bill and Janet Chapman and Jerry and Debbie Chapman, her sisters in law: Su Anne Simpson, Mary Lu Miller and Janet Ambs, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends: Alice and Cal Smith.Joyce was a member of Daughters of Isabella, and a longtime member of Mary Help of Christian Catholic church.She took great pride in providing a loving home for her husband anbd children by taking care of every need.She will be missed by all who love her.Graveside services will be held at Miller Cemetery in Middletown on Wednesday at 11:00 am.Donations may be made in honor of her mother to Alzheimers Association of Dayton, Ohio, or the charity of your choice.Arrangements in Indiana have been entrusted to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, Middletown ChapelOnline guestbook at www.BruchamFuneralHome.com or www.ballardandsons.com
