Middletown...Joy Anne Caine Hornaday, 80, resident of Middletown passed away Sunday morning at her home. She was born in New Castle, Indiana June 17, 1940 the daughter of Ivan (Whitey) and Betty Osborne Caine. She was a 1958 graduate of Sulphur springs High School.
She had worked as manager of PJ's Beauty College for many years.
She had attended church at Sulphur Springs Christian, Mt Zion Wesleyan and Tabor Baptist. She was fun loving with a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed her family.
She is survived by her children John Hornaday of Middletown and Heidi Golden (Gary Kent) of Middletown, 1 grandchild Faith Golden (James Oldham) and a brother Jerry Caine (Carol) of New Castle.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Warren Hornaday, parents and three brothers; Bill, Phil and Mike Caine as well as her grandparents.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Middletown.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. CDC and state Covid mandates will apply with only 50 people within the funeral home at one time as well as masks, social distancing and hand sanitation required.
