Daleville...Joseph Bailey Owen, 76, resident of Daleville, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in Carmel.
He was born in Clay County, Kentucky, October 4, 1941, the son of Joseph and Ethel Shelton Owen.
He retired after 30 years from General Motors (Delco Battery). He was a 1959 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School. He was a member of the UAW and a Democratic committeeman.
He is survived by three children: Christopher Owen of San Diego, CA, Kimberly J. Owen of Phoenix, AZ, and Joseph Alexander Owen of Lapel (wife Allyson); 5 grandchildren: Lauren and Tyler Balconi, Skyler, Avery and Maddox Owen; many nieces and nephews; and his sister, Lois Montgomery of Anderson.
Services will be at noon on Monday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville. Burial will follow at Pendleton. Friends may call from 10-12 on Monday at the funeral home.
