Middletown...Joseph Harold McGrady, 83, resident of Middletown, passed away Tuesday evening at his residence after an extended illness.He was born in Middletown, June 18, 1925, the son of John Joseph and Ada Helen Evans McGrady.He farmed and retired from Dana Corporation in New Castle.He was a member of the Cadiz Lions Club and attended the Cadiz Christian Church.He was on the Harrison Township Advisory Board, was active as a precinct committeeman, and loved to attend auctions.Survivors include his wife of 55 years: Edan of Middletown, Children: Jerry McGrady of New Castle and Helen Hasty (Ed) of Middletown, 2 grandchildren: James Hasty of Middletown and Alan Hasty (fiance: Jesikah Cisneros) of Anderson, 1 great grandchild: Adelynne Hasty, nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother.Graveside services will be held on Friday at 3:00 at Miller Cemetery in Middletown with Rev.
