Daleville...John Leslie Skinner, 90, resident of Daleville, died July 7, 2005 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.He was born in Hancock, VA, February 24, 1915, the son of Thaddeus Stephen and Blanche Mehaffey Skinner.He retired in 1977 from Union Hall in Muncie where he had been a millright/carpenter for many years.He had lived in Pendleton before moving to Daleville.He was a member of Local 1016 of Muncie and attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Anderson.He was preceded in death by his wife: Leona Skinner in 1993, 2 sisters and 1 brother as well as his parents.Survivors include his children: John Stephen Skinner (Clara) of San Antonio, TX, Thomas Eugene Skinner (Sandra) of Daleville and Judith Ann Pugsley (Charles) of Daleville, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street in Daleville, with Pastor James Story officiating.Burial will follow in Saunders Cemetery in Daleville.Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 until the time of services on Sunday.Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene of Anderson.Online Guestbook is available at: www.ballardandsons.com
