John Richard Pugsley

May 17, 1945 — September 2, 2021

Daleville....John Richard Pugsley, 76, resident of Daleville passed away September 2, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Muncie, Indiana, May 17, 1945, the son of William Robert and Mary Honnold Pugsley.  He was a 1963 graduate of Daleville High School and retired in 1999 from Delco Remy of General Motors in Anderson.

He had lived in the Daleville area all of his life.

He was past master of Daleville Lodge F &AM  #730 and was a 50 year member of the lodge as well as the Order of the Eastern Star.

He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Community Church.

He loved watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother William Butch Pugsley and sister   Sandra Kay .

He is survived by his wife Donna  (Kiefer) of Daleville, children: Vickie Willcox (Chuck) of New Paris, Ohio,  John Pugsley, Jr. (Darby) of Daleville, Barbara Ward (John) and Kathy Bothel (Wayne) both of Yorktown,

Grandkids: Amy (Jimmy) Parker, Andrew Willcox. Taylor (Chris) Shipley, Tyler Ward (friend Megan Neal), Levi Bothel (friend Aubrey Whitesell), Nicholas Pugsley, Tori Ward, Jacob Pugsley

Great Grandkids: Claire Shipley, Wyatt Parker, Taegan Shipley, Tucker Shipley,

2 brothers,: Larry Pugsley (Marsha) and Charles Pugsley (Judy) both of Daleville, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 8, 2021 at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville with Pastor Ken Mishler officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Daleville.

Friends may call on Tuesday September 7, 2021 at the funeral home from 3-8 PM with Masonic services at 8:00 PM.

Memorials may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
