Middletown...John C. Lewis, 75, resident of Middletown, passed away Sunday morning at Millers Merry Manor after an extended illness.He was born in Springport, June 29, 1935, the son of Chrismon and Thelma Canada Strunk.He was a 1954 graduate of Kennard High School and retired after 30 years at Delco Remy in Anderson.He was a US Army Veteran and Past Master of Middletown Lodge F & AM #271.He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife: Patty Lou in 1988.Survivors include his wife: Lois of Middletown, 3 daughters: Cindi Lewis of Middletown, Sandy Ashton (Curtis) of Anderson and Karla Sanders (Rob) of New Castle, 4 grandchildren: Capt. Jonathan Sheedy (Sue) USMC, Luke and Dylan Hamm of Middletown and Jessa Ashton of Anderson, 4 step children and several step grandchildrfen.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Dr. Philip C.
