Middletown...John D. Ellison, resident of Middletown, past away Saturday evening at Millers Merry Manor in Middletown.He was born in Middletown, December 24, 1924, the son of Earl and Zoa Strough Ellison.He was a 1943 graduate of Middletown High School and retired in 1982 from Delco Remy in Anderson.He was a honorary member of the Middletown American Legion and coached Little League for 12 years including the State Final Four Team in 1964. He was a member of UAW 662.Survivors are two sons: John Ellison of Perryville Ark. and Randy Ellison of Falls City Washington, 2 grandaughters: Taryn and Elise of Washington and step grandchildren all from Alaska, several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife: Martha Ellison, his brothers: Omer, Sam, and Walter and 1 sister: Phyllis Jean Shaw.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.Friends may call from noon until the time of the services.Burial will follow in Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
