Markleville....John William Davidson, 60, resident of Markleville, passed away Monday morning at his residence. He was born in New Castle October 22, 1958, the son of William and Mildred Henderson Davidson.
He was a graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School (!977) and worked for Keihn Honda for seven years. He was a veteran of the US Army.
He had lived in the Madison County area for over 20 years and attended the Ovid Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son: John Ryan.
Survivors are his wife of 40 years: Jill Elaine (Myers) of Markleville, Children: Kyle (Jennifer) Foster of Anderson and Kelli (Scott) Bergstrom of Olive Branch, Mississippi, 2 grandchildren: Owen and Clark Bergstrom, 2 sisters: Jane (Bill) Upchurch of New Castle and Sharon Manlief of Columbus, IN, 1 brother: Larry (Terri) Davidson of Tennessee, sister in law: Joy Hollars (Jerry) of Markleville, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at the Ovid Community Church with Pastor Keith Wooden officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 4-8 PM and one hour before the services at the church on Friday.
