Middletown... John Kenneth Blevins, age 73 passed away on Saturday August 29 at Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on December 20, 1935 in Sunnybrook Kentucky to Sidney Forrest Blevins and Myrtle Denney Blevins. He graduated from high school in Wayne County Kentucky, and was employed by Delco Remy in Anderson for 35 years before retiring in 1989 and attended the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jewell Doris Blevins Four daughters..Debbie Thorpe of New Castle, Kathy(Tim)Kelley of Muncie, Linda Irvin of Loganville, Georgia, and Vicki (Terry)Vance of Sulphur Springs. One Brother Loren Blevins (wife Ollie) of New Castle, Two sisters Alma Arico of Dover, New Jersey and Wilma Miller of Lagrange,Kentucky A bother in Law Lowell Dawson (wife Linda) of Bedford, Indiana. Grandchildren that survive include Christy (Josh) Arnold of Hagerstown, Trish Vance of Sulphur Springs, Ryan Irvin of Leighton Alabama, Laurie Kelly of Muncie, Chris Irvin of Loganville, Georgia, Brandon Vance of Sulphur Springs and Kevin Kelley of Muncie. Great grandchildren that survive include are Jason Vance of Sulphur Springs, Hayden ARnold of Hagerstown, and Jeremy Vance of Sulphur Springs. He is proceeded in death by his parents and two brothers Fred and James Blevins. Funeral services will be wednesday at 10 am at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown with Pastor Dale Bales Officiating. Burial will be in Southbound Cemetery in New Castle and visitation hours will be on Tuesday evening from 5-8 at the Funeral Home. Online guestbook at:
