Middletown...Jo Ellyn Peckinpaugh, 78, resident of Middletown, died Wednesday at St. Johns Medical Center in Anderson after a brief illness.She was born in New Castle, September 20, 1926, the daughter of Noble and Lucille Allen Jones.She had lived in Henry County her entire life and was a Sulphur Springs High School graduate.She belonged to the Redbirds Club of Muncie and the Scotty Zion Fanclub.Survivors include her children: Michael (Haruko) Cummings of Columbus, Ohio, Bradley (Jane Ellingwood) Cummings of Middletown, Jerri Peckinpaugh of Middletown, Perry (Amy Hinshaw) Peckinpaugh of Middletown and Tracy (Sheila) Peckinpaugh of Iberia, Louisiana, Step Children: Steven Peckinpaughof Middletown and Dennis Peckinpaugh of Pendleton, Grandchildren: Bret Cummings and Anne (Robert) Young of Columbus, OH, James (Katrina) Cummings of Middletown, Josua (Tiffany) Cummings of Colonial Heights, VA, Elizabeth (Doug) McClish of Atlanta, GA, and Brandy (David) Huff of Middletown, Jeremy Peckinpaugh of Middletown, Jordon, Kylie and Kacie Peckinpaugh of Middletown, Josh Speer of Iberia, LA, Sheralyn peckinpaugh of Middletown and Kelly Peckinpaugh of Albany, IN, Michelle Thurman of Venice, FL and Amanda Griffis of Middletown, 9 great grandchildren.Also surviving are: 1 brother: Jerry (Sally) Jones of Sulphur Springs and 1 sister, jeananne Blevins of Jamestown, close friends: Caroline Wilson, Larry and Jeannie Day and Scotty and Linda Zion.She was preceded in death by her husband: Homer Peckinpaugh, Jr and a brother; Web Jones.Friends may call on Saturday from 1-4 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.Cremation will follow.Online Guestbook is available at:
