Middletown.....Jimmie K. Haynes, 75, resident of Middletown lost his battle with cancer at St. Vincent's Regional Hospital in Anderson on October 4, 2016.He resided in Middletown his entire life. He was born June 11, 1941, the son of Virgil and Mary (Barrett) Haynes. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.He worked as an auto body repairman at several dealerships in Middletown and opened his own business in 1975. Jim Haynes Auto Body serviced the Middletown area until his retirement in 2011. He enjoyed time with family and friends camping, traveling to NASCAR races and spending time with his pets outdoors at his residence.He was a member of the American Legion and Eagles.He married the love of his life, Connie (Hanna) on August 14, 1959 and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage until her passing in 2011.He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters: Debbie (David) McCoy and Dawn (Beau) Gentle, four grandchildren: Dana (Ryan) Gipson, Devon McCoy, and Clay and Cole Gentle, two great grandchildren: Macee and Jackson Gipson, siblings: Norm Haynes, Ralph (Lila) Haynes, Judy Cunningham and Janet (Bill) Crabill and several nieces and nephews.Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death bothers: James Robert, Fred, David, Tommy, Larry, Terry, and Donnie and sisters: Betty Troy and Lucille Gavin.A Celebration of his life will take place on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastor Marty Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery.Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 PM and one hour before the services on Saturday.Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent's Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.The Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Jimmie Haynes with family and friends.
