Bedford...Jim (Jimmy) Helsley, 58, resident of Heltonville, IN, died suddenly Monday March 13, 2006 at his home in Heltonville.He was born in Henry County, February 19, 1948, the son of E.M. and Barbara Jennings Helsley.He was a graduate of Middletown High School class of 1966 and was a member of the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church. He attended the Old Union Christian Church in Williams Indiana.He retired from General Motors Power Train in 2003 after 30 years of service.He retired from the Heltonville Volunteer Fire Department and was a former Anderson Police auxiliary officer. He sang gospel and country music his entire life.He was preceded in death by his father.Survivors include his wife of 39 years: Marilyn R. (Peavler) Helsley of Heltonville, mother: Barbara Helsley of Mechanicsburg, Children: Treva Snider (Darrick) of Springville, IN, Trinity Goodman (Mark) of Hillsboro, OH, Wendy Young (Tony) of Severn, MD, Shane D. Helsley (Kim) of Japan, sisters: Tina Jones of Mechanicsburg, Sheryol Girt (Bill) of Markleville, Sandy Edwards (Dave) of Anderson, Faith Longfellow (Chet) of Vinegrove, KY, grandchildren: Heather Lee Harmon (Alvin) Oceana, VA, Brenden Snider and Cory Snider of Springville, IN, Johnnie Lee and Chris Goodman of Hillsboro, OH, Jenny and Kelly Mahoney, CAve City, KY, Bethany and Brecken Helsley of Bedford, and great grandchild: Bailee Harmon of Hillsboro, OH, nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, with Dr. Philip C.
