Jill Dene Manis

New Castle...Jill Dene Manis, (77), passed away (October 23, 2021) at her residence in New Castle.

She was born December 14, 1943 in Anderson, the daughter of Granger and Donalddene Larsen Campbell.  She was a 1962 Middletown High School graduate and also graduated from Apex Beauty School in 1963. Jill married Joe Manis in 1963 and had four children.

Jill was a member of the Order Eastern Star #110 and Cadiz Christian Church.  She was one of the founders who started the Middletown Food Pantry.

She is survived by her three daughters, Jodi (David) Hamm, Julie (Bill) Hohlt and Janis (Billy) Walker, grandchildren: Chase (Whitney) Criswell, Cory (Sabrina) Criswell, Alli Criswell, Abbi Criswell, Ivy Walker, Sophie Walker, Kindle Hohlt, Will Hohlt, Luke (Amanda) Hamm, Dylan (Kirstyn) Hamm, great grandchildren: Caleb and Carlee Criswell, Tinley Criswell-Burdge, and Ruthie Hamm.  Also a brother, Jack (Nancy) Campbell, brother-in-law, Jerry (Beverly) Manis, sister-in-law, Joyce (Larry) Hanson, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Manis, son, Jay Manis,  parents, and nephew Jeff Campbell.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 26, 2021 at 12:00 PM at the Cadiz Christian Church, with Pastor Jeff Johnson officiating and Order of Eastern Star #110 officiating.  Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery, Middletown.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
