Mechanicsburg....Jewell Doris Blevins,76 longtime resident of Mechanicsburg, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday afternoon.She was born in Colfax, Kentucky, February 1, 1935, the daughter of Joe Lloyd and Sylvia G. Caudill Dawson.She was a 1954 graduate of Sulphur Springs High School and retired from Delco Remy Divison of General Motors in Anderson.She was a member of the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church and President of the United Methodist Women.Survivors include four daughters: Debbie Thorpe of New Castle, Kathy (Tim) Kelley of Muncie, Linda Irvin of Loganville, GA and Vicki (Terry) Vance of Middletown, 7 grand grandchildren: Christy Thorpe of Hagerstown, Laurie Kelley of Tyler, TX, Kevin Kelley of Muncie, Ryan Irvin of Leighton AL, Chris Irvin of Athens, GA, Trisha Vance of Middletown and Brandon Vance of Middletown, brother in law: Loren Blevins (Olie) of New Castle, 6 great grandchildren: Jason, Jeremey, Hayden, Abby, T.J., and Julia, 1 brother: Lowell (Linda) of Bedford.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: John Kenneth Blevins.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev.
