Daleville...Jessie Mae Gilbert Scott, 81, Daleville, passed away Thursday evening at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She loved her God and family very much. She was born in Burkesville, Ky, September 11, 1923, the daughter of William and Fannie Mae Bunch Gilbert.She moved to Daleville in 1954 and had been a homemaker most of her life.She attended the Middletown Church of the Nazarene and had been active with her sons in the Daleville Little League.Survivors include five sons: Gerry (Diane) Scott, Buzz (Leigh) Scott, Joe (Robin) Scott, Johnnie (Paula) Scott and Michael (Dean) Scott, all of Daleville, sisters: Maxine Wells of Patriot, Ohio, Betty Sue Keesling of Anderson, Mary E. Tompkins of Red Boiling Springs, TN, brothers: Keith (Mary Edna) Gilbert of Burkesville, KY, John (Phyllis) Gilbert of Anderson, and Joe (Virginia) Gilbert of Morgantown, IN, grandchildren: Shaun (Laura) Scott of Muncie, Christie (Kevin) Sommers of Suffolk, VA, Gina (David Hurley) Scott of Daleville, Paula Scott of Shirley, Corey (Erin) Scott of Muncie, Candy (Jason) Hensley of Shelbyville, Brandon, Shannon, and Cody Scott, all of Daleville, great grandchildren: Mercedes Crutcher, Dakota Hurley, Jack Scott, and Konner Sommers, and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jesse Frank Scott, 3 brothers: Shelby, Charlie, and A.B. Scott.Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville, with Rev.
