Jesse Chew Morgan Iii

Jesse C. Morgan III, 69, of Daleville passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. Jesse was born on July 30, 1947, in Fort Walton Beach Florida to Jesse Morgan Jr. and Lois (Martin) Morgan. He proudly served in the US Navy for twenty years before retiring in 1987. He then worked for an additional 23 years in civil service. Jesse married Mary Eileen Losey on December 16, 1967. Together they had six children and would have celebrated 49 years of marriage this year. Jesse is survived by his wife Eileen, children, Heather Morgan of Middleburg, Florida, Christina (Cory) Butterfiled of Arlington Tennessee, Francis (Kirt) Steele of New Castle, Jenifer Hancock of Alexandria, Jessica VanDine of Yorktown, and Joshua Morgan of Westminster, Co. Also surviving are his 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, his brother Dana (Jackie) Morgan of Jacksonville, Florida, Betty Fredrichsen of North Carolina, one nephew, Dana Morgan Jr, and close friend Craig Krasko. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and step mother, Cheiko Morgan, and granddaughter Ashlynn Bender. Calling hours will be Sunday, October 2nd from 4 to 6 pm at Ballard and Sons funeral home in Middletown. A Grave side service will be held Monday, October 3rd at 10 am with full military honors at the National cemetery in Marion Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to thank the staff of Community Hospital North for their excellence in care.
