Daleville...Jerry Alyn Timmons, 79, resident of Daleville, passed away early Saturday morning at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.He was born in Muncie, September 26, 1931, the son of Benjamin and Hazel Massey Timmons.He attended Muncie Central High School.He retired from Chevrolet in Muncie in 1995 after 33 years of service.He was a member of Delaware Lodge F and AM #46 and was a Demolay Dad in Daleville.He was a UAW local 499 member, and coached Little League Baseball, Basketball at AAU Girls Softball.He was a member of the Crossroads Lutheran Church Historical Society.Survivors include his wife of 59 years: Barbara Alice (Schumacher) of Daleville, 2 children: Ben (Paula) Timmons of Daleville and Karen (James) Crim of Polaski, WI, 4 grand, 2 great grandchildren, a daughter in law: Connie Timmons of Piketon, Ohio, several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son: Gary Timmons, and three grandchildren: Brad, Bryan and Jeremy.Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Crossroads Lutheran Church with Pastor James Sandberg officiating.Burial will follow in Sunderland Cemetery near Yorktown.Friends may call at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville on Monday from 4-8 PM and one hour before the services at the church.
