Middletown.....Jerry Owen Parrish, 49, resident of Middletown, died Monday at his residence unexpectedly. He was born March 12, 1953 in Anderson the son of Donald Keith Parrish of Pt Charlotte, Florida and Roxanne Strome of Edwardsburg, Michigan.He had been manager of Ponderosa in Anderson for 19 years and was currently manager of Steak and Shake in Anderson. He was active in the Kiwanis Club of Muncie where he was past President. He was a member of the Tri- County Christian Church in Middletown.Beside his parents, he is survived by his wife of 29 years: Kris (Ward) of Middletown, 4 children: Jennifer Lakey of Middletown, Josh Parrish (Catherine) of Salem, Virginia, Justin Parrish of Middletown and Jessica Parrish of Middletown, 3 grandchildren: Kelsey, Cameron, and Shelby Parrish of Middletown, 1 brother: Michael Strome of Michigan, 2 sisters: Kathy Manley of Michigan and Donna Wine of Sulphur Springs, several Uncles, Aunts, Nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Rodney Parrish.Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, with Pastor Josh Parrish officiating.A Dove Release Memorial service will follow at Miller Cemetery.Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-9 PM.Memorial contributions may be made to the Tri- County Christian Church.On Line Condolences may be made at: www.ballardandsons.com
