Daleville...Jeffrey Vance Shoemaker, 52, died Sunday , December 9, 2018 at IU Health in Indianapolis. Jeff was born in Muncie, January 4, 1966, the son of James G. and Joyce E. (DeHaven) Shoemaker. He lived his early life in Daleville and graduated from Daleville High School with the class of 1984. He attended ITT in Indianapolis where he graduated with honors in HVAC in 1988.
He moved to Durango, CO in 1990 to follow a job. He loved the climate and vistas there so much he stayed beyond the job. He worked there until 2014 when he was needed by his family in Daleville.
He is survived by his beloved Kathy Romero of Daleville and her family, her son, grandmother and grandchildren all in Colorado, his mother: Joyce Shoemaker of Daleville, his son: Lex C. Shoemaker of Richmond, IN, his sister Jamie Seelye (Rodney), niece: Alena all of Indianapolis, Uncle: David Shoemaker of Anderson, Aunts: Judith Cheatham.(Glenn) of Daleville and LaVerna Balser of Yorktown, and numerous cousins around the country.
He was preceded in death by his father: James G. Shoemaker and grandparents: John Shoemaker, Jane Shoemaker-Fernald, Thomas M. and M. Marie DeHaven.
Services will be held on Thursday at 4:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville Indiana with Pastor Gary McManus officiating. the family has chosen cremation
Memorial gathering will be held from 1-4 on Thursday at the funeral home.
