New Castle...Jean Raines, former Middletown resident, passed away Thursday morning at The Waters in New Castle.She was born in Clinton County, KY on November 13, 1927.She had resided for the last 23 years in Middletown, Indiana.She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years: George Raines, 2 children: Marcus Raines of Middletown and Amy (Michael) Vermeulen of Valrico, FL, 2 grandchildren: Lindsey Raines of Tampa and Timothy Vermeulen of Valrico, FL.Also surviving are two sisters: Evelyn Perdue of Alexandria and Barbara Stearns of New Castle, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev.
